Oh greens, nothing beats the most natural of colors that is frequently used for food photography. There are so many ways you can incorporate the color into your food images. Greens are sometiems used to improve food styling by adding leaves of mints, cilantro and more. There are endless possibilities of using the β€œColor Green” in your Food Photography and here I will share a few ways you can incorporate the beautiful fresh color into your food images.

  1. Breaking Patterns

The most obvious choice to photograph greens is unsing a number of diffrent green vegetables or fruits. To create more interest it is always good to break paterns either by adding complementary colors or using diffrent forms and patterned fruits/vegetables. See a few simple examples below.  

 
 
 
 
 

 2. Get Close

Macro Photography is a beatiful way to capture green foods and the color green. Get close and capture the natural patterns in your food.

 
 

 

3. Let Nature & Fabric Be Your Backdrop

Nature is the most beautiful backdrop you will ever find and using it for your food photos is the perfect way to create the green theme. Go out into the Woods, your garden or use plants and fabric to create a green theme in your pictures.
